Tutkimus

Skolioosi on tila, jossa selkäranka kaartaa epänormaalisti joko vasemmalle tai oikealle puolelle. Tämä voi johtaa kipuun, liikkumisvaikeuksiin ja keuhkojen toiminnan heikkenemiseen. Yksi tapa diagnosoida ja seurata skolioosia on käyttää skoliometriä, laitetta, joka mittaa painovoiman avulla selkärangan kaarevuuskulmaa.

Tutkimus on osoittanut, että skoliometrisovelluksen käyttö mobiililaitteella voi olla tehokas skolioosin diagnosoinnissa ja seurannassa. Nämä sovellukset käyttävät laitteen kiihtyvyysmittaria ja gyroskooppia antureita mittaamaan tarkasti selkärangan kulman, mikä mahdollistaa kätevämmän ja tehokkaamman skolioosiarvioinnin.

Tutkimukset ovat myös osoittaneet, että skoliometrisovelluksen käyttö voi parantaa skolioosimittausten tarkkuutta ja luotettavuutta sekä vähentää perinteisiin skoliometrilaitteisiin liittyviä kustannuksia ja aikaa. Tämä tekee skoliometrisovelluksen käytöstä arvokkaan työkalun terveydenhuollon tarjoajille ja skolioosipotilaille.
